Human and Legal Services
Focuses on education, social, legal and protective services. Students can choose between two standards: The Police Academy, with an emphasis on law enforcement and protective services or Legal Services Academy, with an emphasis on social and legal services.
Within the Human and Legal Services SLC students may join the Criminal Justice & Community Service Avademy also known as the Law Academy. This program offers specialized courses that give a more in depth view and application of legal issues and law enforcement. Mr. Washington teaches the Law classes along with Officer Sam Davis from the Sacramento Police Department.
The academy provides extra opportunities for special giest speakers, field trips, job opportunities, internships and physical training competitions between other academies. Students spend all four years together in most of thier classes and form a close-knit, supportive and encouraging peer group. Come visit the campus and see the academy in action. |
